Nursing Externship Program

The Atlantic Health Nursing Externship Program offers nursing school students, in their final year, an opportunity to work side-by-side with a team of nurse preceptors at Overlook Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital and Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute. Our students: train in a clinical specialty, learn critical thinking skills and build their confidence for future nursing careers.

Students in their final year of nursing studies are eligible for these paid positions, which require a full-time commitment and every other weekend. Candidates must have at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) and will be asked to provide transcripts, as well as two letters of recommendation from instructors at the time of interview.
