Behavioral Health
Mental illness affects almost every American family either directly or indirectly. And with proper services and the support of families, friends and communities, the possibility of recovery is no longer elusive. That's why our team of behavioral health experts strives to promote and maintain our communities' mental health and wellness through high quality, comprehensive and accessible care.
Excellence is more than a goal — it's a promise.
We're committed to quality and our track record proves it. Our physicians participate in clinical research designed to enhance behavioral health care in areas such as psychopharmacological management, crisis management, patient management and electroconvulsive therapy. We've also earned high scores from third-party patient satisfaction surveys and other quality assessments.
And as hospital-based programs, our behavioral health services help all of our patients on the road to recovery. Whether a patient is being treated for cancer or heart disease or recovering from a stroke, behavioral health plays an important role in the healing process by helping them deal with the lifestyle change, stress and emotional challenge associated with injury, surgery, disease and other medical conditions.
Our crisis, inpatient and outpatient behavioral services are available at Morristown Memorial Hospital and Overlook Hospital, and include child and adolescent programs, adult services and geropsychiatric care. Your primary care or referring physician is kept well informed throughout treatment.
