Chit Chat Language Group

Participation in this group facilitates communicative competence and social interaction through structured play. A screening is required to determine the appropriateness of the child for the group. It is designed for children four through six years of age who have difficulty communicating in a socially interactive environment. Goals include enhancing expressive language, developing the ability to negotiate verbally and learning how to problem solve. The group is coordinated by a speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist.
