Splash

Splash is a group aquatic program for children ages three through nine years.  The program, coordinated by occupational therapists, utilizes a warm water environment to help children improve motor skills, balance, coordination, sensory integration and social skills. A warm water environment promotes relaxation of tight or spastic muscles while buoyancy makes movement easier by reducing the effects of gravity. Children are screened prior to the program to determine eligibility and the most appropriate group placement.  A physician referral is required.  Sessions run concurrently once a week for six to eight weeks.
