Aresty Family Day Hospital

The Aresty Family Day Hospital is located on the first floor of the Goryeb Children’s Hospital. This unit cares for pediatric patients who are admitted for procedures that require sedation or special monitoring. Our staff are experienced health care professionals who want to minimize anxiety for you and your child in a warm, family-centered environment.

In cooperation with your child’s physician, the pediatric nursing staff will help plan your child’s nursing care from admission to discharge. Your child’s condition will be monitored and frequent assessments will be required throughout your child’s stay while in the Aresty Day Hospital. Your child’s nurse is available to advise and teach you how to continue your child’s care at home. Some procedures may require overnight observation in the Pediatric Unit as determined by your physician.

The nurse manager of the Aresty Day Hospital directs nursing care and is available to assist you with any questions or concerns. Specially-trained physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other support staff will care for your child during his or her stay.
