• The social worker helps children and their families deal with the non-medical problems related to illness, injury, and hospitalization. They counsel regarding social and financial needs and help obtain any necessary post-hospital care. The social worker can be reached at 973-971-5213.
  
  
• A resident physician, who is a physician in training, is assigned to your child’s care for the duration of the hospital stay.
  
  
• The child life specialists help reduce the stress and anxiety that many children/adolescents and their families experience in the health care setting.
