Grant Proposals

Cost of statistical support for grant proposals varies by project and usually depends on the time spent providing the support and the level of statistical expertise. Depending on the project, a specified number of hours of statistical support may be charged at a certain rate per hour. Any extra hours, if needed, may be charged at a higher rate.

Statistical support includes all of the following:

  • Research design and statistical methodology for the proposal
  • Helping with type of data to be collected
  • Data set up for the analyses
  • Performing all statistical analyses and model diagnostics
  • Interpretation of the results and conclusions
  • Dissemination of study findings through preparation of technical reports, presentations, or manuscripts for submission to local or international journals

*Please note that cost of data collection, entry and maintenance are not included in the above service. The cost usually depends on the background of the person collecting the data and the number of patients enrolled in the study. Approximately, it would probably be double the cost if the data were collected by a nurse compared to a medical student, for example.
