For Our Parents

Morristown Memorial’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU):

  • Main number: 973-971-5022

  • You may call the NICU at any time to inquire about your infant’s condition; to ensure patient confidentiality, only parents will be given patient information and you will be asked for identifying information.

  • Parents are welcome in the NICU 24 hours a day, seven days a week; for the safety of our infants, parents must have an ID band that matches their infant’s ID band.

  • There are accommodations in every room for a parent to stay overnight with their infant.

  • Family members and friends (older than 14 years of age) may only visit when accompanied by a parent. In order to maintain patient confidentiality and to ensure infant safety, visitors are limited to two people per family.

  • Siblings are welcome in the NICU after completing a sibling visitation screening form.

  • The NICU is a secured unit in the hospital and someone will open the door when you arrive.
