Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition


boyThe Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Atlantic Health offers a full range of services for infants, children, and adolescents with gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders.

Physicians work closely with referring physicians on both an outpatient and inpatient basis in the evaluation and management of problems including the following:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea/malabsorption
  • Vomiting/gastroesophageal reflux
  • Peptic ulcer disease/H.pylori
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease/ulcerative colitis)
  • Hepatitis/liver disorders
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Pancreatitis
  • Feeding intolerance/food allergy
  • Short bowel syndrome
  • Growth/nutrition issues
  • Celiac (Gluten sensitivity) 

A nurse practitioner/nurse educator will follow up your initial inquiry to answer your questions or concerns. You may also see the nurses at your initial visit or follow-up appointments. Together with your child’s gastroenterologists, the professional staff will map out a plan of care for your child.
