Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

The Division has one of the largest centers for Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease in the state. A multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, nutritionists, and social workers provide comprehensive medical care, nutritional counseling, and emotional support for children and adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease/ulcerative colitis).

The Division hosts support groups and educational meetings for patients and their families. Additionally, members of the division participate in educational and social events sponsored by the New Jersey chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America and serve on local and national committees advancing research and education for these disorders.

As a nationally recognized center for excellence, the Pediatric IBD center offers access to the latest research and clinical trials for our patients.
