Valerie Fund for Hematology - Oncology

The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology provides personalized, comprehensive medical care to patients with cancer and blood disorders. The Valerie Fund, which supports our program, was established in 1976 as a non-profit volunteer organization. The Valerie Fund's mission is to support comprehensive health care service for children with cancer and blood disorders close to their homes.

The Valerie Fund Children's Center at Morristown Memorial and Overlook hospitals provide patients and families with the skills of a team of professionals. These professionals include:

• Board-certified pediatric hematologists/oncologists
• Pediatric surgeons
• Pediatric radiologists
• Pediatric radiation oncologists
• Pathologists
• Advanced practice nurses
• Chemotherapy nurses
• Social workers
• Child life specialists
• Clinical research associates

The nurses, doctors, social workers, child life specialists and staff went out of their way time and time again to ensure our comfort and peace of mind. …The team at Morristown Memorial Hospital’s Valerie Fund Center carried us through the most difficult time of our lives and gave our daughter a chance at a long, healthy future.
