Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I need to drink water?

A. No, with the exception of a CVS which requires a full bladder.

Q. Can I bring in family members and children?

A. Yes! Just remember, the room is dark and you are on the exam table for quite a long period of time. If you have a young child it is generally better to bring another adult with you so they can lend a hand if the child needs attention.

Q. When will my doctor get the results?

A. All reports are usually faxed within three hours of your visit.

Q. Can I videotape the exam?

A. No.  However you will be given plenty of pictures of your baby.

Q. Can I have a 3D ultrasound?

A. We have 3D ultrasound machines at our center only to assist in diagnosis.

Q. What makes us different from other imaging centers?

A. All our technicians are experienced in obstetrical ultrasound; our center is certified by the Association for Medical Ultrasound; and all our ultrasounds are reviewed by physicians board-certified (or board eligible) in maternal-fetal medicine.
