Volunteering
Becoming a Morristown Memorial Hospital volunteer is a wonderful way to make a difference. Without volunteers, we would not be able to provide the quality of care for which Morristown Memorial is renowned.
*At this time, we are not accepting new junior volunteers. Morristown Memorial offers four volunteer programs:Adult: a program that has more than 800 adult volunteers who provide support services throughout our hospital, 365 days a year, to enhance the patient experience. Each year they give more than 125,000 hours in service. Learn more> College Summer (non-clinical): a program that allows students to work directly with administrative sponsors on a variety of projects, either in teams or individually. A limited number of college positions are available during the summer months. High School: a year-round, seven-day-a-week program for highly motivated high school student volunteers who can commit to a weekly schedule for six months or longer. Professional Partners: a skill-based volunteer program that matches community professionals with administrative sponsors throughout non-clinical hospital departments. Professional partners can apply their skills and talents to a broad range of projects, either at the hospital or "virtually" from home or office. For those seeking greater volunteering flexibility and a way to apply their experience to the health care environment, a professional partnership with Morristown Memorial can be an ideal fit. Other programs: College students: If you are interested in hospital shadow programs, internships or mentorships, please call 973-971-5247, option number 5. High school students: If you are interested in hospital shadow programs, please call 973-660-3528. |
My progress was slow but steady. Now it is my turn to give back to the place that gave so much to me.
