Application Process

Morristown Memorial Hospital has more than 1,100 volunteers and has been serving the Morris County community for more than 100 years – setting high standards for patient care with state-of-the-art facilities and a full range of medical specialties and services. Our commitment to excellence extends throughout the hospital and is shared by each of our volunteers.

Join Our Team

At Morristown Memorial, becoming a volunteer usually takes between four and eight weeks. During that time you will be required to successfully complete an online training program and initial medical screening. All adult volunteers are subject to a background check. We conduct on-site personal interviews of all candidates and take the time to find a position that balances each person’s interests, skills and availability with the hospital’s needs. If an appropriate volunteer placement is secured, you will be paired with a volunteer who will orient you to the workplace and assist in your training. Volunteers are expected to serve a minimum of three to four hours a week for a period not less than six months.

Application

Each applicant is asked to provide information on employment and volunteer experiences, as well as personal information and references. Application forms are accepted only through online submission:

Before an Interview

  • Reference Form - Please print and have your two references fill out the form; bring the completed forms to your interview, when invited, or have your references mail it to the address on the bottom of the form. Please do not use parents or relatives as references; suggested references are neighbors, teachers, counselors, etc.
