Get informed, stay healthy – the Overlook Hospital Community Health Department provides people with information to make appropriate health care choices. Take advantage of the programs, support groups and screenings – many of which are free of charge – offered right in your own neighborhood. Healthy Avenues Van The Overlook Hospital Community Health Department is proud to operate the "Healthy Avenues Van," which provides health care information and screenings to more than 34,000 people in 24 surrounding New Jersey communities each year.  In the van, staff examine individuals for symptoms of diabetes, stroke, blood pressure, cholesterol, colon health, skin damage and cancer, prostate cancer and breast cancer.  Funded by the Schering-Plough Foundation, the van features a private medical exam room and a waiting room for more sophisticated screenings.
