News travels fast
The Overlook Hospital Community Health Department is proud to operate the brand new "Healthy Avenues Van," which provides heath care information and screenings to more than 34,000 people in 24 surrounding communities each year. In the van, staff examine individuals for symptoms of diabetes, stroke, blood pressure, cholesterol, colon health, skin damage and cancer, prostate cancer and breast cancer. Funded by the Schering-Plough Foundation, the van features a private medical exam room and a waiting room for more sophisticated screenings.
