Patient Education and Resources

Atlantic Health provides patients and referring physicians with the information they need before, during and after treatment. 

Total Joint Education Classes are offered to all patients scheduled for a total hip replacement or a total knee replacement surgery.  Classes cover both preoperative preparation and immediate postoperative care in the hospital.  Additionally, post discharge care and instructions, including physical therapy and occupational therapy, are addressed.  Patients who have completed the classes report that they are less anxious and have a more positive attitude about the surgical process.
