Outpatient Services

Atlantic Health offers outpatient services at the following locations:

• Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute 
• Overlook Hospital
• Morristown Memorial Hospital’s outpatient satellite:  The Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation  

Outpatient services at the Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute provide evaluation, treatment and education to the adult and pediatric populations who require comprehensive rehabilitation.  We treat individuals of all ages with conditions and injuries including, but not limited to:

• Musculoskeletal injuries
• Orthopedic injuries
• Sports injuries
• Neurological and cognitive perceptual disorders
• Post surgical conditions 
• Arthritis and/or rheumatology
• Lymphedema
• Mild brain injury
• Stroke

Licensed and experienced professionals including physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, certified occupational therapy assistants, speech-language pathologists and audiologists provide our outpatient rehabilitation services.  They focus on the promotion of health and wellness, and the importance of continuing an exercise program once a rehabilitation program is complete.  Our Outpatient Services Department offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, post-rehabilitation programs, and specialty programs including:

• Aquatics program at the Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute
• Audiology testing and hearing aid dispensary
• Gait and balance program
• Hand rehabilitation program
• Positioning and functional evaluation
• Prosthetic and orthotic services
• Swallowing evaluation and treatment
• Vocational assessment and training
• Wellness programs
• Women’s health physical therapy services
• Post operative bariatric therapy
