  • Arthritis is the number one disabling disease in America
  • It limits everyday activities for approximately 7 million individuals
  • 2.5 million New Jersey residents have arthritis
  • Over 900,000 people in New Jersey have osteoporosis or osteopenia

The North Jersey Regional Arthritis Center (NJRAC) aims to increase awareness about arthritis, osteoporosis and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.  It also delivers evidence-based programs aimed at prevention of complications and increased quality of life.  The activities of the NJRAC include information and outreach; physical activity classes; and self-management programs and services for persons affected by arthritis and osteoporosis.

NJRAC, at Atlantic Health, was established in 2000 through the enactment of the Arthritis Quality of Life Initiative Act.  This prestigious designation from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services as a "Regional Arthitis Center" enables Atlantic Health to provide arthritis and osteoporosis programs for residents in northern New Jersey.

The NJRAC is located at 95 Madison Avenue, Third Floor, Suite 306, Morristown, NJ.  Information can be obtained by visiting the center or calling the toll free Arthritis Help Information Line at 1-877-973-6500 between the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
