Paola Acevedo

Paola Acevedo
Dr. Acevedo attended Rutgers University’s Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2015. She was born in the Dominican Republic and was raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she currently lives with her family. Her interest in pharmacy and patient care stemmed from working at a local independent pharmacy during high school.

Dr. Acevedo professional interests include emergency medicine, ambulatory care, and critical care. She also has a passion for teaching and mentoring which began at a very young age. In fact, one of her goals is to become a preceptor and a clinical professor at a school of pharmacy. During her residency, Dr. Acevedo is looking forward to expanding her clinical knowledge and to developing her teaching skills. After completing her PGY1 residency, Dr. Acevedo plans to pursue a PGY2.

Courtney Montepara

Courtney Montepara
Dr. Montepara graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in May 2015. She was born in Connecticut, raised in Pennsylvania, and now lives in New Jersey. Her love for pharmacy developed throughout college and during her time as a pharmacy intern at Giant Food Stores. Her current interests include cardiology and ambulatory care.

During her residency, Dr. Montepara is looking forward to expanding her clinical experience and knowledge across various fields of pharmacy. She has a passion for teaching others and will be earning a teaching certificate from Rutgers University. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, Dr. Montepara would like to pursue a PGY2 residency in one of her interest areas.

Amulya Uppala

Amulya Uppala
Dr. Uppala graduated from Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University in May 2015. She was born in India but grew up in Edison, New Jersey where she still currently resides. Dr. Uppala developed an interest in pharmacy through her involvement with APhA and NJSHP and work experience with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

During her residency, she hopes to gain new experiences and strengthen her clinical knowledge. Her areas of interest include ambulatory care, internal medicine, and academia. Dr. Uppala hopes to pursue a PGY2 in ambulatory care.
