Conferences
Participate in weekly conferences, daily teaching rounds, grand rounds, and Mortality & Morbidity Conferences. Academic conferences and presentations by distinguished scholars, visiting professors and physicians are also made available by sponsoring departments.
Research activities
Conduct and participate in research studies and present your findings during the annual Research Day activities. The hospital has a Research Committee and the Atlantic Center for Research to serve as a resource for both new and established investigators. As well as to facilitate collaborative efforts and coordinate administrative matters relating to human subject research. Specialized services such as biomedical communications, biostatistics and proposal development are also available.
Health Science Library
Holds a comprehensive collection of texts and subscribes to over 380 journals. Special features include: expertise of two full-time professional librarians; database searching instruction and access to patient record information, Micromedix and more than 10 personal computers for Internet and Microsoft Office access. In addition, a computer is dedicated for an up-to-date database. Other online databases include Harrison's Online, Ovid, Ebsco — including Healthsource Plus — eMedicine and 15 full-text journals. The book collection includes over 700 medical reference texts, 2,100 popular medicine books and 1,500 circulating clinical texts. Fax machines, scanner facilities and copy machines are also available in the library. In addition, off-site articles may be obtained through interlibrary loan. The library may be accessed during off-hours by use of a card reader, and you also have access to all the other Atlantic Health System libraries.
Practice opportunities
Practice Development and Management sessions cover topics relevant to setting up a practice or joining an existing practice. Provides assistance in practice location and set-up and matches residents with physicians seeking a new associate.

Housing options
Housing is conveniently located in close proximity to Morristown Medical and is subsidized by the hospital. Considered a bargain for the area, rent is payable through payroll deduction. You pay utilities.
Affiliated programs
Atlantic Health System is the primary academic and clinical affiliate in New Jersey of Mount Sinai School of Medicine and The Mount Sinai Hospital. Residents from several affiliated institutions participate in our rotations in surgery, pediatrics and rehabilitation medicine. Also provides elective clerkships to medical students from all over the U.S.
Full-time department chairpersons head most clinical departments.
The 300-seat Malcolm F. Forbes Amphitheatre is a modern facility with satellite and video hookups.
