The current residents of Atlantic Health System's pharmacy residency include:
Dr. Kothari graduated from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University in May 2016. She was born in New York, raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and currently lives in New Jersey. Her interest in pharmacy started in high school while volunteering at a local hospital pharmacy and continued to develop while she worked as a pharmacy intern at Rite Aid Pharmacy. Dr. Kothari’s love for patient care is what motivated her to pursue a PGY1 residency.
Her current professional interests include ambulatory care, cardiology and internal medicine. She also loves to teach and is excited to receive her teaching certificate from Rutgers University. Dr. Kothari is looking forward to advancing her clinical knowledge during the residency and is planning to complete a PGY2 residency in one of her interest areas.

Dr. McDonald graduated from Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University in May 2016. She was born in Brooklyn, New York but moved at an early age to Monroe Township, New Jersey and now lives in Morristown. She developed an interest in hospital pharmacy throughout her rotations as an advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) student.
Dr. McDonald is looking forward to gaining more clinical experience to focus her interests in preparation for a PGY2 residency and hopes to one day pursue a career in clinical pharmacy and academia. Her current interests include pediatrics, cardiology, and infectious diseases.

Dr. Joseph attended the Georgia campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (GA-PCOM) School of Pharmacy, where she earned her Doctor of pharmacy degree in 2016. Her pharmacy journey started while shadowing a clinical pharmacist during her undergraduate internship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC. She was born in India and raised in Rockville, Maryland.
During her residency year, she is looking forward to expanding her clinical knowledge and gaining experience in various clinical specialties. Her current interests include critical care, cardiology, oncology and ambulatory care. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, Dr. Joseph would like to pursue a PGY2 in one of those clinical areas.
