Aphasia Therapy

Aphasia is a communication disorder that impairs a person’s ability to process language. It impacts speech, the ability to read, write and understand others, but does not affect intelligence.

In addition to individualized treatment sessions, Atlantic Rehabilitation offers an aphasia support group that allows members to meet with others who live with this disorder for mutual education and encouragement:

Aphasia Conversation and Support Group
Third Tuesday of every month, 11:00am to Noon
550 Central Avenue, New Providence, NJ
For more information, please call 908-522-2885.

Aphasia therapy is provided at a variety of Atlantic Rehabilitation locations, including New Providence Campus, Wayne Campus, Chilton Medical Center and Atlantic Rehabilitation – Morristown. Please call 1-855-862-2778 to schedule an appointment or to verify availability of services.
