- Two-dimensional echocardiogram with Doppler – produces an echocardiogram and a picture of the direction and speed of blood flow through the heart
- Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) – examines hard-to-see structures of the heart using ultrasound waves that are converted into 3D live and full volume images of the heart
- Stress echocardiogram (exercise echo) – combines a cardiac ultrasound study with an exercise stress test to allow doctors to see how the heart functions when it is made to work harder
