Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute's cardiovascular rehabilitation services don’t end when patients leave the hospital. Our exercise specialists design a 12-week cardiac rehabilitation exercise program routine that’s tailored to meet individual needs, and every patient's progress throughout the program is monitored closely.
Patients who would like continued medical surveillance, once their outpatient rehabilitation programs are complete, can elect to follow a self-pay maintenance exercise program in one of Atlantic Health System’s cardiac health center/cardiac rehabilitation programs.
A registered dietician is also available to meet with each cardiac rehabilitation patient. Individualized services include nutrition profile assessments, nutrient analysis, and anthropometric measurements. Diabetes education for those who require glucose monitoring is available as well. Heart healthy cooking classes are offered at both Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center.
