At Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Morristown and Overlook Medical Centers, we offer cardiac computed tomography (CT), which can aid in the diagnosis of:
64-Slice Cardiac CT Angiography
This noninvasive test, also known as a CTA scan or volume computed tomography (VCT), is offered at Morristown Medical Center and can be performed in about an hour. 64-slice cardiac CT angiography produces a detailed image much like those produced by more invasive methods.
320-Slice Cardiac CT Angiography
320-slice CT angiography, offered at Overlook Medical Center, takes less than eight seconds and results in precise 3D images of the heart arteries, which are not blurred by the heart’s motion. This test, used to diagnose heart disease, requires less radiation and contrast dye than a traditional scan, and patients are able to resume normal activity once the scan has been completed. The 320-slice CT scanner is currently the most powerful x-ray imaging machine in its class, and is one of only a few on the East Coast.
