Mended Hearts is a community-based, nationwide heart patient support network. It has more than 17,000 members organized in 300 chapters and satellites across the United States and Canada, and supports more than 460 hospitals and clinics, serving heart patients and their families.
This group assists patients in their recovery through visiting programs, support group meetings and educational forums. Each year, Mended Hearts’ trained and accredited volunteers conduct more than 200,000 in-hospital visits, as well as online and phone visits.
Each month, the local chapter visits patients at Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center. The support group meets on the fourth Sunday of every month, 1:30 to 3:00pm, at Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Morristown Medical, Floor C, Wilf Conference Room.
