For over 30 years, the NICU at Overlook Medical Center has provided exceptional family-centered care to newborns with special needs and their families. In 2004, we opened our new NICU within the Frank and Mimi Walsh Maternity Center, located on the sixth floor of the hospital. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Overlook Medical is a 15-bed unit with state-of-the-art equipment providing specialized care for a wide range of neonatal conditions including respiratory, cardiac, genetic, renal, neurological, hematological and metabolic diseases.
A neonatologist or a neonatal nurse practitioner is available in the NICU 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
