Pediatric Emergency Care

Pediatric Emergency Care Within the Goryeb Children's Hospital you will find the Gagnon Children's Emergency Department which provides 24-hour access to expert pediatric care. More than 20,000 children each year visit the Gagnon Department for everything from minor emergencies such as fever, ear infections, minor cuts and sprains to life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

An environment that focuses solely on the needs of children relieves some of the anxiety of an emergency room visit for both the parent and the child. The Gagnon Center's newly expanded facility has doubled the size of the pediatric patient care area, allowing patients to be placed in exam rooms faster. Rooms are colorfully decorated and equipped with a TV, VCR and DVD player. Child life specialists help ease the fears of young children and make them feel more comfortable.
