At Goryeb Children’s Hospital, we want to ensure that patients in our Eating Disorders Program maintain good academic standing. That’s why we have a certified teacher on-site who provides our partial hospitalization patients with daily instruction.
He or she works directly with the patient’s school district to assign projects, administer tests and quizzes, and submit all completed assignments back to the classroom educators. This gives our patients the freedom to focus on their treatment without worrying about falling behind in their studies. When the time is right, we can also assist with the adjustment back to full-time school.
The Eating Disorders Program is located at Goryeb Children’s Center at Overlook Medical Center.
