Having a child diagnosed with a tumor of the brain, spine or peripheral nervous system is one of the most daunting situations a parent can face, but you don’t have to confront it alone. At the Pediatric Brain and Spine Tumor Center, part of Valerie Fund Children’s Center at Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center and Goryeb Children’s Center at Overlook Medical Center, we provide cutting edge, individualized care to children and adolescents with these conditions.
Our highly-trained team of medical specialists includes pediatric neurosurgeons, oncologists, neurologists, neurophysiologists, endocrinologists, neuropathologists and radiation therapists. They are supported by a staff of social workers, nurses, pediatric anesthesiologists, pediatric critical care intensivists, pediatric physical therapists and child life specialists who work together to create a child-friendly hospital environment.
Our center offers multidisciplinary, centralized consultations that allow our patients and their families to be evaluated without having to travel to multiple offices. What’s more, we believe in communicating regularly with your child’s primary care pediatrician to ensure continuity of care and a successful treatment plan.
