“IT TOOK THE HOSPITAL JUST 62 MINUTES TO SAVE 55 YEARS OF MY LIFE.”
You may have heard Joe Nolan on the radio. He's a traffic reporter. On April 27th he wasn't doing the traffic, he was doing yard work at his home in Westfield, New Jersey. Suddenly, he felt a massive upper body ache. He felt weak and started sweating. So he called 911. Five minutes later, the ambulance arrived and the EMTs confirmed that he was having a heart attack. They took him to a hospital with award winning cardiac care that is nationally recognized for their Emergency Department. No surprise, it's Overlook. It is one of only five hospitals in New Jersey approved to provide emergency angioplasty in a community setting. It took them just 62 minutes to insert the stent that saved his life. Just 62 minutes.
