Morristown Medical’s Maternity Center When you choose to deliver your baby at Morristown Medical Center, you are assured that you and your newborn will receive first-class medical services and personalized care in a nurturing, family-friendly environment. Our board-certified anesthesiologists, obstetricians, neonatologists, maternal-fetal specialists and nurse practitioners – on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week – are experts in the newest diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

You'll have tremendous flexibility in planning your baby's delivery because we can accommodate a wide variety of medically responsible birthing plans and procedures, including hydrotherapy, birthing balls, epidurals, aromatherapy and music. Doula support is permitted if you have made private arrangements with a certified doula.

Located in the Arlene and Kermit Meade Pavilion, our Mother Baby Unit includes 54 private rooms in which mothers and babies can stay together at all times, if desired. Every room contains a spa-like bath, space for partners to sleep, and wireless Internet access. We also provide a bright, modern play area for the baby’s siblings and a solarium for family gathering.

If you have a high-risk pregnancy, you'll be referred to Atlantic Maternal-Fetal Medicine for evaluation and treatment prior to delivery. Morristown Medical is a Level III Regional Perinatal Center. All labor rooms are equipped with the most sophisticated technology available, including individual fetal monitors with a central monitoring station. Morristown Medical also has a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to provide advanced care to our smallest patients.
