

Understanding what to expect before, during and after surgery will decrease anxiety, make your stay more pleasant and even improve your recovery.
We realize how difficult this time can be. It is our goal to provide you with detailed instructions to properly prepare you for your surgery. Your questions and concerns are important to the staff at Morristown Medical Center. Please feel free to discuss them with any member of your health care team.
Morristown Medical provides the full range of services your surgery requires. Our staff is made up of highly skilled physicians, nurses and other health care professionals who will support your physical and emotional needs. State-of-the-art equipment is used to monitor your health before, during and after your surgery.
If you are admitted on the same day of your surgery, you will go to Morristown Medical Center and stay at least one night in the hospital. If you are having surgery and going home the same day (ambulatory surgery), you will go to either Morristown Medical Center (the main hospital) or Morristown Medical Ambulatory Surgery Center (111 Madison Avenue, across the street from the main hospital).
