Diabetes Programs, Screenings, and Support Groups at Morristown Medical Center
- Diabetes Support Group
Diabetes patients and their loved ones can partake in discussions on how to cope with this condition.
- Medical Nutrition Counseling
This is a one-on-one education class for people with diabetes and pre-diabetes. You will learn the principles of carbohydrate-counting and healthy eating and receive a personalized meal plan. Individual health concerns will also be addressed. It is recommended that you contact your insurance provider for pre-approval.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Gestational Diabetes Education Classes
These classes are for the person with newly diagnosed gestational diabetes. It is recommended that you contact your insurance provider for pre-approval.
Tuesdays, 8:30 to 11:30am
- Smoking Cessation
Receive the support and guidance needed to quit smoking in six weeks. This group is free and open to all adults in the community, but registration and a smoking assessment are required to participate.
