Treatments for Vein Disease
Venous diseases may cause leg swelling, blood clots and varicose or spider veins. At Morristown Medical Center Health Pavilion, we treat these vascular conditions using:
- Foam sclerotherapy – foam solution that is used to eliminate larger, unsightly veins
- Injectable sclerotherapy – a solution that is injected into the vein that causes it to "collapse," which helps it disappear
- Ablation – a minimally invasive technique using either endovenous laser ablation (ELA) or radiofrequency ablation (RFA) to rid the body of malfunctioning veins that can cause painful or unsightly varicose veins
- Microphlebectomy – another minimally invasive procedure involving several tiny incisions in the skin through which the varicose vein is removed
Hemodialysis Access and Chemotherapy Access
We can create new accesses or maintain existing accesses for patients requiring hemodialysis. Our team is also experienced in the placement of central venous catheters for patients who need chemotherapy, as well as antibiotics or nutritional supplementation.
