The Trauma Center at Morristown Medical Center is verified as a Level I Regional Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons and designated a Level II by the state of New Jersey. We treat approximately 1,500 trauma patients per year, such as those with complicated fractures of the pelvis and upper and lower extremities. In addition, we work with our radiation therapy program to help those with heterotopic ossification – a condition where bone develops in areas of soft tissue, often as a result of orthopedic trauma.
