The Stroke Center at Overlook Medical Center actively develops new therapies for people who have suffered a stroke. We recently participated in trials of new intra-arterial mechanical clot removal devices that use removable stents to open blocked arteries.
At the Brain Tumor Center of New Jersey, part of Atlantic Neuroscience Institute and Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Overlook Medical Center, our experts participate in research studies using state-of-the-art treatments for eligible patients who have malignant brain tumors, including newly-diagnosed glioblastoma, malignant astrocytoma and mixed tumors.
Research at the Movement Disorders Program at Overlook Medical Center is conducted by internationally-recognized experts with extensive experience in the study of movement disorders. Studies include the use of tai chi, yoga and structured education for patients with Parkinson’s disease, as well as narrative insights for those with neurodegenerative disorders.
