Rehabilitation for Concussions
Atlantic Neuroscience Institute’s Center for Concussion Care and Physical Rehabilitation at Overlook Medical Center offers post-concussion physical rehabilitation services, which can be tailored to each patient depending upon the severity of their condition.
During rehabilitation sessions, our medical team of physical therapists, physicians and athletic trainers carefully monitors the patient’s heart rate and blood pressure, as well as the status of their symptoms and recovery progress. In the case of athletes, we’ll closely follow their recovery to ensure that they resume competition only when it's safe to do so. Some patients with concussion-related memory disorders may also be referred to Overlook Medical Center's Speech Therapy Department.
