

When you make an appointment for an evaluation at Atlantic Neuroscience Institute’s Memory and Cognitive Disorders Program at Overlook Medical Center, we will mail you a questionnaire to complete and return prior to your first visit. Your initial appointment will take about two hours and include a neurological consultation and a neuropsychological evaluation. A physical exam and tests of memory, attention, and other cognitive functions are part of the evaluation. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electroencephalogram (EEG), and lab work also may be recommended.
Your next visit will be scheduled two to three weeks after your first appointment. Our medical team will review your test results with you and recommend a plan for treatment. We also provide a comprehensive report to your referring physician and coordinate your follow-up care.
