When spine, neck or back pain puts your life on hold, the spine program at Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center can help you resume everyday activities. We use a multidisciplinary approach with our team of orthopedic and neuroscience specialists to properly diagnosis and alleviate pain as conservatively and minimally invasively as possible.

The program’s specialists are renowned experts in spine care, neurology, physical medicine (physiatry), pain management and physical therapy, and our board-certified surgeons have specialized training in spine surgery. Our team works together to assess your condition comprehensively and provides individual treatment recommendations. We provide each patient with an individualized continuum of care from diagnostic testing through rehabilitation based on best practice standards and family involvement.

Both Morristown and Overlook medical centers have received the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission, achieving Disease-Specific Care Certification for spine surgery. This certification recognizes that our programs are patient-centered, comprehensive and well developed, resulting in better outcomes for patients. What’s more, our spine program has performed more spine surgeries than any other hospital in New Jersey, and both Morristown and Overlook medical centers have dedicated inpatient spine units with specially-trained and award winning nurses.

In addition, Atlantic Neuroscience Institute offers advanced diagnostics for diseases of the head, neck, spine and brain, including conditions caused by trauma, diseases of the blood vessels, stroke and tumors through Overlook Medical’s Neuroradiology Department.

For younger patients, our child neurology and developmental medicine departments collaborate with our pediatric neurosurgeons and other specialists at Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical and Goryeb Children’s Center at Overlook Medical to help children suffering from spine, neck and back pain.
