Atlantic Neuroscience Institute’s Stroke Centers at Overlook Medical Center and Morristown Medical Center, awarded the prestigious Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers, exemplify the national standard of excellence established for stroke treatment centers.

The Stroke Center at Overlook Medical was the first designated Comprehensive Stroke Center in New Jersey; today both of Atlantic Neuroscience Institute’s Stroke Centers anchor a regional network of more than a dozen Primary Stroke Center hospitals in Northwestern New Jersey. This network enables our renowned neurophysicians to share state-of-the-art stroke diagnostic and stroke treatment technologies with colleagues at other institutions, ensuring that their stroke patients receive the best possible medical care.

Recipients of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award and Target: Stroke Honor Roll, Atlantic Neuroscience Institute’s Stroke Centers are engaged in on-going clinical research to offer our stroke patients the most advanced diagnostic and treatment services.

The Stroke Center at Morristown Medical, the only accredited stroke trauma center in Morris County, specializes in diagnosis and treatment of acute neurological trauma and stroke.

The Stroke Center at Overlook Medical provides inpatient stroke diagnostic and treatment services, supported by the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute’s Inpatient Neuroscience Unit and the expertise of a neurointerventionist, as well as an array of outpatient services, including a highly successful emergency medicine services (EMS) and a community education program.
