Electrocardiograms (EKGs) are used by Newton Medical Center’s cardiologists to diagnose various cardiac disorders, such as conduction disorders, arrhythmias and heart attacks. At the Charles L. Tice Heart Center for Diagnostic Services, our cardiologists use EKGs to determine the course of cardiac treatment and to assess how the heart is responding to treatment. EKGs are also an essential part of preadmission testing for certain medical and surgical procedures and tests.

If additional cardiac services are necessary, patients have full access to Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Morristown Medical Center or Overlook Medical Center.
