When a baby dies, family and friends are good sources of comfort, but sometimes professional assistance is necessary to manage the emotional pain. That’s why Newton Medical Center offers a free, perinatal bereavement support group, featuring counselors specially trained in helping parents cope with the death of an infant.
Intended as a self-help tool more than a therapy session, our group is open to patients as often as needed, and participants can end their involvement whenever they are ready. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30pm. Please arrive in the hospital lobby and someone from our team will greet you. Registration is not required.
