Vestibular Rehabilitation is an exercise approach for the treatment of dizziness and imbalance. The goal of the program is to decrease dizziness, improve balance and increase function. A physical therapist trained in vestibular rehabilitation evaluates and develops an individualized treatment plan that may consist of eye and hand coordination exercises, balance exercise, Canalith repositioning procedures, habituation exercises, and patient education for management of symptoms and fall prevention. A physician referral is required for treatment.
