Atlantic Health System's Division of Behavioral Medicine at Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center offers outpatient services to adults requiring assistance in coping with their health issues. Medical conditions are complex and there is often a strong relationship between your thought process and the ability to manage health problems. Research shows that behavioral medicine can help you deal with chronic illnesses more effectively and improve your well-being.
The Division of Behavioral Medicine program starts with an initial assessment with a clinician to determine your goals and help you create a plan. This plan may include improving your coping skills and stress management. We provide individual and group treatment options, as well as consultation with a psychiatrist, if necessary. A therapist will work with you to determine which treatment strategy works best for you.
