Our inpatient programs encourage personal empowerment by promoting self-awareness and an understanding of the individual's illness. Patients are helped to develop the skills necessary to maintain stabilization.
Hospitalized patients are treated by a team of professionals, which includes full-time, on-site psychiatric medical directors. All patients receive a medical evaluation and appropriate medication management. Treatment may include group psychotherapy, individual and family counseling, activities therapy and medication. We strongly encourage involvement by patients' family members.
Upon discharge, patients return to the care of their psychiatrist and/or clinician, and may also gain additional support from one of our outpatient programs.
Voluntary inpatient programs for older adolescents and adults are available at Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center.
