Why Deliver at Overlook Medical Center At Overlook Medical Center you’ll deliver your baby in a supportive, family-oriented environment, staffed by board-certified anesthesiologists, obstetricians, neonatologists, maternal-fetal specialists and nurse practitioners who are trained in the newest diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In our patient rooms, you can enjoy all the comforts of home, plus the extra pampering new mothers deserve, such as massage and aromatherapy. We provide tremendous flexibility in choosing how your baby will be delivered by offering you a wide variety of medically responsible birthing techniques, including hydrotherapy and birthing balls. Doula support is permitted if you have made private arrangements with a certified doula. Our staff will work with you to create a birthing plan that meets your specific needs.

Each bed is equipped with Patient Vision, a computer system that allows you to participate in interactive patient education, order your menu from dietary services, watch television, surf the web or play video games.

Women with high-risk pregnancies are referred to Atlantic Maternal-Fetal Medicine for evaluation and treatment. Overlook Medical is a Level III Intensive Perinatal Center. All labor beds are equipped with the most sophisticated technology available, including individual fetal monitors with a central monitoring station. Overlook Medical also has a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to provide advanced care to our smallest patients.
