Overlook Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Services Department provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient programs. We believe in building and maintaining a partnership between you and your medical team, which is why you will remain with the same health care provider throughout all of your treatment sessions. The two of you will develop an individualized treatment plan, designed specifically to meet your unique needs and goals.
Rehabilitation services at Overlook Medical include the following specialties:
- Athletic training – event, team and tournament coverage; injury prevention; concussion management; community education; rehabilitation program collaboration; and transition back to sport or school-based athletic trainers
- Audiology – hearing aid and amplification services, cochlear implant related services and diagnostic testing
- Concussion rehabilitation
- Occupational therapy – hand therapy, neuromuscular and vision therapy, and post-mastectomy and post-breast reconstruction therapy
- Physiatry – comprehensive non-surgical care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries from work, sports, overuse, motor or other accidents, as well as neurological impairments and arthritis-related conditions
- Physical therapy – lymphedema, pain management, balance, pelvic floor, orthopedic, neuromuscular and sports rehabilitation, including treatments for concussions and spinal injuries
- Speech therapy – speech, language, cognitive communication, concussion-related memory disorder, swallowing and voice therapies
