Ultrasound imaging involves exposing part of the body to high-frequency sound waves that produce real-time pictures of the structure and movement of internal organs and blood flow through vessels. Types of this scan include obstetric ultrasonography and duplex ultrasound.
Preparing for an Ultrasound at Overlook Imaging
On the day of your ultrasound, it is recommended that you wear a loose-fitting, two-piece outfit.Ultrasound Results
Overlook Imaging’s radiologists are experts in supervising and interpreting radiology examinations. They will analyze your ultrasound images and send a signed report to your primary care physician or the physician who referred you for the exam.Ultrasound is available at Overlook Imaging locations, including Overlook Medical Center’s Radiology Department and Union.
