Prostate Navigate Program
At Carol G Simon Cancer Center at Overlook Medical Center, we understand that prostate cancer affects each person differently and trying to decide on treatment can be an overwhelming experience. That’s why we’re the only hospital in the region to offer the Prostate Navigate Program.
Through this unique, patient-centered consultation service, you can meet with a multidisciplinary team of cancer experts, including a board-certified urologist and radiation oncologist, all in the same room at the same time. They’ll discuss the available prostate cancer treatment options and help you determine which one is right for you.
You will also be assigned a nurse navigator – a trained professional with extensive knowledge about cancer symptoms, treatment and resources. He or she will help you understand the diagnosis and treatment options presented by the physicians and provide emotional support and guidance throughout all stages of care.
